Another day at the office.

Kayaking at Koh Hong

A must-do when visiting Krabi, can't get any closer to nature than this. A full day tour that costs 1800 baht. Pick up at 8:30 and drop off at 4:30. Includes long boat ride to 3 islands, lunch, snorkel equipment, beach mat, water, fruit, kayak, oars, life jacket and an unforgettable experience. The highlights of the trip were paddling through caves and visiting the Hong Lagoon during lowtide. Walk around and see hundreds of starfish, crabs and stranded jellyfish.

Eating at Suvarnabhumi International Airport

Magic food is a food court on the first floor of the airport. If you face the street march all the way to the left. You won't find pizza, hamburgers or hot dogs here. This is the place where all the airport employees go for their lunch breaks to have roasted duck on rice, som tam with salted egg and shrimp, larb, tom yum goong, pad thai, and other local thai favorites. Rule of thumb when travelling in a foreign country: eat where the locals eat. If you're lucky you'll sit at a table next to a flock of Air Asia stewardesses... "Sawat... dee... krop."

Poisonous Jellyfish

While snorkeling at Koh Hong Bay, Julie was stung by jellyfish. In these warm waters there are two common kinds of little jellyfish. The red ones and the white ones. The white ones are poisonous. Imagine patches of giant mosquito bites. Instead of itching, they sting like the wrath of Zeus. Our tour guide Lim immediately grabbed a handful of leaves from a nearby tree. Poured a puddle of bottled water in his palm and mashed the leaves. He rubbed the natural ointment on to her affected area. Within minutes the swelling went down. But it still hurt. Damn you Zeus!

Kids laughing at an elephant pooing across the street.

Ao Nang Beach.

If you got a 1000 baht throw your hands up...

Ever been to a club and the music is so loud the loose change in your pocket starts to shake, your teeth uncontrollably chatter, and the wax you didn't even know you had in your ears start to rattle loose? This place is one of them. Welcome to Route 66. "Single ladies, I can't hear ya'll! Single ladies, make noooooise!"

Kop Koon Heaven for 7Eleven

Yeah... they got them here too... everywhere.

Amphawa Floating Market

This ain't PinkBerry.

iBerry is a chain of homemade natural sorbet parlors in Bangkok. They have kick ass signature flavors like Tamarind, Gooseberry, Lynchee, Wild Orange, Durian, Spicy Mango, and Coconut. My favorites are Green Apple and Limon.

Boarding the BTS Skytrain

Don't be that guy that stands in front of the doors when they open. You'll get trampled by people coming out of the skytrain. Arrows on the station floor remind you to stand to the side so you don't end up being THAT guy.

Calling All Bangkok Ballers

Stumbled on this huge 3 on 3 bball tournament while walking in Siam Square. Does that basket look low to you?

Movie Showtimes at Paragon Shopping Center

Temple Fair Ferris Wheel

Those are hundreds of moths in the middle of the wheel.

Graffithai

Monk waiting for the subway.

Beef Hot Pot for lunch.

When the local police, business men and taxi drivers are eating here with framed news articles hanging on the walls next to portraits of the King... it's got to be good. And it was.

Nuam Kuak

Nuam Kuak is an outdoor restaurant located on the third floor balcony of The Third Place building in Thong Lo. They make and excellent margarita and mojito. Enjoy the looking at the Bangkok skyline while eating dinner and listening to the resident live bossonova band.
